Why this exists
Ledger is the site for an independent advisory or consultancy — a firm that sells judgement, not a product — and it tells its story the way the confident ones do: in scale and reach. On cool porcelain with a deep petrol accent (light, but dramatic — never a dusty cream), the primary figure is set far larger than the headline, so the number outranks the adjective. Its signature is the reach: a hand-drawn operating map plots the firm's offices with arcs drawing out from the head office, and a row of growth bars rises with the years. Every figure carries a receipt — a page-foot "Basis of figures" line states where it came from, so nothing reads as a fabricated marketing claim. Six pages — home, practice, mandates, a fully worked mandate, firm with principal portraits, notes, and a qualifying enquiry form that asks for organisation, engagement type, timeframe, and budget instead of just a name. Under the hood it's valid HTML that works with JavaScript switched off (the map rests fully drawn, the bars at full height, every metric at its final value), a native mobile menu that needs none, every colour pair computed to WCAG 2.2 AA, license-clean motion in dependency-free vanilla JS (hand-authored WebGL + CSS scroll reveals + Lenis, MIT), and all three typefaces (Space Grotesk, IBM Plex Sans, IBM Plex Mono) vendored so nothing loads from a font CDN. The docs are written for the person who runs the firm.
