Why this exists

Meridian is a six-page site for a boutique developer, luxury estate agent, or a single exceptional residence, built as one committed idea: the whole site lives at golden hour, and scrolling moves the sun. A luminous dusk sky — honey to rose to deep indigo — sits fixed behind every page and warms then cools as you scroll; a band of raking light sweeps across the hero façade, a directional shadow lengthens, and a sun-dial marker slides down a 06:00–20:30 time track with the clock reading live. You don't read the listing, you watch the day turn on it. It is a bright, open, warm ground — no beige, no dark-cinematic cliché. The type is a luxury-brochure register: an airy, thin, wide-tracked Jost display over a clean Manrope spec sans, with IBM Plex Mono reserved for the machine data only — prices, beds and baths, square metres, coordinates, the dial. The single residence unfolds as a scroll-as-camera walk-through (exterior, threshold, interior, the view, the plan) beside a plain spec sheet, and a short, honest listings index that never shows three identical cards. Six pages — home, residences, a single residence detail, neighborhood, the studio, and an enquire form that is the real conversion job. The signature light engine is hand-authored: a dependency-free scroll→sun pipeline that CSS maps to the sky, the raking light and the dial — no shader, no GSAP, no motion library whose license we can't redistribute; Lenis (MIT) smooths the scroll. It degrades all the way down: no JavaScript renders a static golden-hour hero with every price and spec present, and reduced-motion freezes the sky at golden hour. Every colour pair is computed to WCAG 2.2 AA (body ink 15:1 on cream; the bright sky never carries raw text — a computed scrim or an opaque warm panel does), all three typefaces are vendored (no font CDN), and it's valid, responsive HTML at 375, 768 and 1440 with zero horizontal overflow.
